How it works

Four steps, and none of them are yours to support.

You work in a browser. Your client works in the app. Nothing needs installing on your side and there is no software for your team to learn beyond a booking form.

Why agencies want this

The part of the trip you are usually absent for.

You stay reachable

When something goes wrong at 6am in a port, the client reaches for the app they have been using for months. Your contact details are in it, not in an email from last February.

The booking arrives set up

They do not start with an empty app. The ship, the dates and the itinerary are already there, which is the difference between a client who uses it and one who does not.

One booking, one cost

A family of four claiming the same invitation counts once. You are covering a booking, not counting heads.

Where the line is

You give them the cruise. You do not get their data.

This is deliberate, and it is worth being blunt about because it cuts both ways.

Nothing a passenger records in CruiseBuddy reaches the agency. Not their spending, not their documents, not their journal, not who they added to the trip. Information travels one way: from you to them.

If you were hoping for a window into client behaviour, this is not that product. What you get instead is a guarantee you can make out loud to a client, and a category of data you are not holding, not securing and not answerable for.

Honestly, where this is

This is a pilot, and we would rather say so.

We are looking for a small number of agencies to run this properly with real bookings, not a waiting list.

Setup is done with you rather than by you: we create your agency, add your team and walk the first booking through together. In return we want to hear what is wrong with it while it is still cheap to change.

Pricing is being worked out with those first partners rather than decided in advance and defended. If you want a rate card today, we do not have one, and we would rather tell you that than invent it.

Questions

The things agencies ask first.

What does the pilot cost?

Pricing is being worked out with the first partner agencies rather than set in advance. Get in touch and we will talk it through.

Do we see our clients' cruise data?

No. Nothing a passenger records in the app is visible to the agency. Information flows one way, from you to them.

Does every passenger on a booking need paying for?

No. One invitation covers the travelling party on that booking, and it counts once no matter how many of them claim it.

What happens if we stop working with CruiseBuddy?

Clients you have already set up keep their access. Ending the arrangement stops new invitations rather than withdrawing anything from a passenger who is already sailing.

Do our clients have to pay for anything?

Not for the cruise you set up. CruiseBuddy is free to download, and the access you include with a booking covers that cruise for them.

What do we need to install?

Nothing. Your team works in a browser. The only app involved is the one your client uses.

Talk to us about the pilot.

Tell us roughly how many cruise bookings you handle in a year and what you use at the moment. We will come back to you ourselves, and there is nothing to sign to have the conversation.
